Practical solutions for Reducing Stress and Anxiety (Mark Davies)
Our bodies were designed to endure massive amounts of stress coming from one direction. We were not made to have stress coming from a thousand different directions. In a culture that is high-paced and over-scheduled, we have found "time" to be the most valuable commodity - there is never enough of it. This has resulted in increased depression and anxiety, broken relationships, and burnout. How will we manage our stress? Come and discover the tools necessary to understand and manage your stress in constructive and healthy ways.
Boundaries (Ian Lopez)
A boundary is a personal property line that marks those things for which we are responsible. In other words, boundaries define who we are and who we are not. They define where we end and others begin. There are physical boundaries, mental boundaries, emotional boundaries, and spiritual boundaries. Having clear boundaries is essential to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. When confronted with a lack of boundaries we may find ourselves asking questions such as:
- Can I set limits and still be a loving person?
- What are legitimate boundaries?
- What if someone is upset or hurt by my boundaries?
- How do I answer someone who wants my time, love, energy, or money?
- Aren't boundaries selfish?
- Why do I feel guilty or afraid when I consider setting boundaries?
Come and discover solutions to life’s most difficult personal and relational challenges.
Living Well (Deb Judas)
Living life well is an art - an art to be developed and practiced and enjoyed, not from a distance, but embraced fully as an active participant in our own life. And by “embrace fully”, we mean all all of life. As humans, we cannot transform ourselves, but we do have the ability to create the conditions that nurture all aspects of what it means to be human and to live life well. The bigger question is: Will we?
This workshop will address what it means to live life well. We will look at life holistically - spirituality, emotional and intellectual health, and physical well being - and then take a look at what gets in the way of experiencing the “good life”. Finally, we will set personal goals to begin developing the art of living well.
